Welcome to the New Gwent League Website

23/3/21: Welcome to our new Gwent League website. As well as bringing over all the old favourites, including complete results since the year 2000, we've added a host of new archive and history pages, including a complete list of league winners since 1963, and a (nearly) complete list of fixtures, together with some associated memories.

Do please have a good look around, and if you have any feedback do please let us know.

Positions Vacant

25/2/21: The League is still looking for a new Honorary Treasurer. Please contact E Roland Sherwood if you can help out.

Final Two Fixtures Cancelled

13/12/20: The Gwent League Committee, in conjunction with the clubs organising what would have been the last two fixtures, feel that there is no prospect of staging these events in a way which would be both safe for both volunteers and participants, and also have the blessing of land-owners and support of first aid providers. We have therefore decided to cancel the remaining fixtures for this season.

Details of the AGM in spring 2021 will be follow in due course. Club representatives, if you haven't done so already, do please sign up for our mailing list, so you won't miss out on this important meeting.

Mailing List

23/9/20: We're gathering contact details so that we can get in touch more easily. If you regularly attend Gwent League fixtures (whether as a team manager, athlete or official), or would just like to follow us, please sign up here

AGM 2020

16/9/20: Due to the Welsh and English Governments' 6 person rule, we are postponing the AGM and reviewing the situation regularly, and will update the web site when possible.
Due to the above, the Committee does not envisage any fixtures before the Christmas break.
We will review fixtures after Christmas at a later date.
